Stroopwafels
Stroopwafels... I tasted it two years ago, when my friend from Utrecht Netherlands Lisette Van der Steeg brought it for me and my family. The taste is Lekker en goed, Yummy!
The Stroopwafels is was first made in the town of Gouda in the Netherlands, it is a traditional spiced waffle cookie with caramel filling. The traditional method of enjoying the stroopwafel is to place it over a hot cup of tea or coffee, which heats the caramel and the caramel will melted or you can heat use microwave.. when the caramel melted, the taste is really good! Delicious!
In Indonesia, the price of stroopwafels a bit expensive, IDR 15,000 for one piece in Starbucks (FYI, Lissete bought it in Netherlands €1.5 for 10 pieces).
I found out place that selling stroopwafels in Jakarta: ALTJE BAKERY. Rejoice! The price is cheaper than Stroopwafels in starbucks. The place located in Kemang Selatan (lucky me, its near my office), they are selling IDR 50,000 for 8 pieces stroopwafels (it's cheaper than starbucks, right?). Wohoooooo.. now i can enjoy the stroopwafels in my tea time :D
Love,
Titi
